The first exhibition of his drawings took place when he was in kindergarten. At his school, Yury amazed his teachers and friends with his wonderful drawings of animals and portraits. An art teacher recommended to his parents that they direct Yury to art school. At age 12, Yury saw Fedoskino miniatures for the first time. The paint on the boxes seemed to sparkle. Two boxes,\ "A Salute to Red Square\" and \"Troikas\", with horses dashing through a winter\'s landscape, amazed him. This experience produced an unforgettable impression, and he entered the Fedoskino School of Lacquer Miniature in 1980.
&nbsp At the school, his master teachers were artists V. S. Kulgavov and V. N. Frolova. His degree work--\"Still Life\"--was exhibited with other outstanding works. From 1984 to 1987, Yury served in the Soviet Army. In 1987, he began work at the Fedoskino Factory, learning from famous artists and developing his exceptional skills in miniature work.
&nbsp In 2003, Yury became a member of the Russian and International Union of Artists. These extraordinary examples of Russian architecture are set in extraordinary landscapes, shining with the soul and spirit of Old Russia. The silhouettes of the Golden Ring, the solemn and sparkling centers of Russia, and the noble northern landscapes have always fascinated me.
